As It Grows- My Stop Motion!

So After about 30 or so hours of working on this it's finally done!!!!

I wrote the story as a dedication to Logan. The assignment was to do a stop motion with the theme "Love Conquers All" I want this to show that I will always love him, no matter what season, and no matter how much time passes, he will always be my love and my best friend.

Enjoy

(I would highly recommend going to YouTube to watch it and changing the settings to 720 HD. It looks better :) if not enjoy anyways)

I love how it turned out. I wish I would have used a tripod so it didn't have the "earthquake effect" but other than that everything worked beautifully. I made all the people and props by hand and everything else was from my backyard. Thanks to Lauren for helping me with it all. I would have taken way longer without her. I hope Logan gets to see this sometime, and I hope you like the story.

Missionary Desktop background.

So I had a sudden urge to get a new desktop background for my computer tonight. So here's what I did...Found a cute missionary quote. Added in my own parentheses (I think the quote is much better this way anyways). . added Adorable pictures....and now I have a new desktop background for my computer! YAY!

Maybe i'll make another one that has actual pictures from his mission tomorrow or one for my family with my big brother's pictures. anyway...

I think it turned out super cute.

Enjoy!

6 Months down the road

So I decided that I'll do a post every three months on how Logan is doing and how the missionary waiting is going. So here is six months...and what a LONG six months it has been...

the Logan Report
The past three months have been crazy. Logan has stayed in the Regina, Saskatchewan YSA ward for the whole first 6 months. Just this week he was transferred into the Winnepeg area. He's had a rough last companion and is VERY grateful to finally have gotten a new comp. and a new area. I'm a little worried about that new companion though, I guess he is a football fan just like Logan, and who knows if they'll actually get work done while it's football season... I'm just kidding. I'm sure they'll be awesome.

He has been quite the amazing missionary so far. He's had somewhere around 6 baptisms so far. That is amazing to me. here are a few pictures...

Man.... What a hunk!! He needs to wear sweater vests more often!
I think this is Damon' baptism. Damon has been their strongest convert yet.
This is his most recent. His name is Kuame. From the stories Logan has told, he seems like such an awesome guy and so humble and willing to be taught. Also notice Elder VanKomen next to Logan. I'm pretty sure Logan was at least a whole foot shorter than him.
I just can't believe what a cutie he is. I just miss him oh so much. Look at those gorgeous eyes! and his charming smile! I have an attractive man...yup, yup.

the 2 year emotional roller coaster.
How I'm doing...
Anyways, the past three months have been easier to cope with for me. I feel like at first it was like jumping into a freezing cold lake. It took my breath away, sent me into panic mode and I was definitely into shock for a while there, miserable shock. Now I've gotten used to the water and am realizing that it really isn't so bad. Still...I absolutely would rather be on the warm beach rather than in this cold water, but at least it's bearable for now

I'm doing good though. Working around 10 hours a day this summer kept me distracted from getting too sad. The past week going back to school scared me lots. I felt so alone for the first time since he left. I honestly don't know anyone this semester. Luckily I have awesome roommates and Logan's amazing mom was in town and that sure made the week a little easier on me.

The one thing that really changed my perspective on wishing Logan was home is that one day I was driving home and wishing Logan was beside me in the car. We practically lived in his car and some of the best moments were just driving and singing to the radio. Anyways i got thinking and came upon the realization that if Logan was here we would probably just be doing the same stuff as always. Then I thought of the people who's lives Logan has been able to touch and change. I realized that I am willing to sacrifice being able to see Log every day and have our fun, silly, romantic, life in order to bring the gospel to those people. That just opened my eyes. Since that moment I stopped being selfish and wishing him home, and started making these years of my life just as worthwhile as these years in his.

Now for a Soap Box Moment!...

People keep asking me that since I'm back at BYU if I will start dating again or finding new boys. My response... "HECK NO!" do you see that sweetheart in those pictures up there? I have no reason to date anyone else. I already have the most gentle loving sweetest boy. He's been my best friend for so long, and I can't picture my future with anybody else. I love him with all my heart. And that's my status.

Here's something else people ask me lots that drives me crazy, "Well how do you know for sure if you've never been with anybody else? You should just date people Becca!" Well here is my response to that one... I go to a school where people fall in love and are married within a matter of months. Within a couple weeks they claim that the person is "the one." If you believe that you can know after a few weeks, Why can you not believe that after 3 inseparable years with someone, that I should be able to judge for myself if I want to marry him? Plus I care about him way way too much to ruin our trust by pleasing a couple of marriage hungry boys by going on a date with them.

Anyways...now that I'm off my soap box lol.

Here is how we are doing as a couple  :

Logan and I are still very much a part of each other's lives. That is what I love the most. He writes me once a week and emails every monday (he's never missed once ♥) and I write him a letter every day and send all seven at the end of each week. In addition to that, there is something else. I can't explain it, but it's like we're connected somehow. He says that he feels it all the time too. Maybe it's angels watching over us, or maybe it's just that we've been such close best friends for so long. I really can't explain it other than that I can feel his love so strongly in each day of my life, somehow he is here with me, and somehow I am out in Canada with him. We're definitely in this together.

This is from the date where we very first fell in love over 3 years ago at Lagoon Amusement Park. I can't believe it's been so long.  photobooth pics have been a tradition ever since.

Well there you go. I won't bore you any more with my stories although I could tell them all day long. As far as wedding plans go... well that's still at least 20 months or so away, so naturally I have the entire thing plannned. lol. Just ask and I can tell you all about it, I even have a whole portfolio of pictures. I'm kind of a dork.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!!

I'm glad some people care, or are at least curious..

I love you all!!

A few picture updates - Requested by Logan.

Alright so Logan asked a few questions and wanted me to post some pictures.
And in case that you aren't Logan, feel free to read and enjoy. The reason I post these on my blog is because my email does wierd things when I try to put pictures into my emails. I guess this can be an update to all my blog readers too!! As requested...here you are!

First of all... the answer is YES! I do still keep your calendar. Here it is! Look how far you've come! Your on day 171, which means only 559 days left! In only 8 days I can move from the red part of the Canadian flag colors to the white part! YAY! I made the lines for the colors to be at six months. So in a year I'll be back in the red for the last six months. Idk this thing make me happy. I make sure that each day when I mark off the day to make a little promise to myself that I will wait for you that day. Just taking it one day at a time.

Ok... so this is to show you two things. A) some of the weight that I've lost. idk, it's not a huge difference, but I'm getting there. and b) how long and blonde my hair is getting! it's only a few inches shorter than my extensions I sometimes wear. haha you like my skirt?? I've had it since the beginning of 8th grade lol.

So the next three pictures are of my box of letters that I keep. There is around 24 letters, you've never missed a week! Some are kinda hidden in the bottom so you can't see them. Haha I got a little carried away with these pictures because I just love the garden I have outside of my window and my lace curtains, it just looked so pretty I couldn't resist.

Oh... here's the ring you sent me!!!!! Like it? lol I love it your so cute and kinda funny too.
Here is me. Yeah... don't ask why my head is tilted like that. I have no clue. But you can see how skinny my legs have gotten. Those are my new jeans that I love!

Yeah. and here is the picture of you that I love and use for the wallpaper on my computer. It always making me happy.

So yup there ya go! as for the wedding plan pictures you asked for... well I'll send those in the mail. I don't feel like giving away all my secret amazing plans away to all my blog readers and the public quite yet lol.

Well there ya go!
Love ya log.

Summer Updates from the Becca Soup.

We're 2/3rds of the way done with summer, and I realized that I haven't blogged at all really except picture posts. So I decided to make an update to that. Here is life....

The reason I've been a little MIA this summer is cuz I've been working between 50-60 hours a week as a supervisor at the local waterpark. It is such a fun job. (haha well most the time) I work over kids from the ages of 14-17 usually. They are entertaining, but it is almost like babysitting sometimes haha. Anyways, I have a blast. The work comes with lots of perks too... We get free season passes, have like 2-3 employee parties a month where we draw for prizes. Last time I won a super cool scooter bike!! and another time I won this really nice genuine NFL football.  Also we get 30% percent off everything that is sold in the park. Well working at a place like this has taught me a few things that I would like to share.

  1. Often times I think people forget that employees are people too. The way that some guests treat these 14,15 year old kids makes me so sick. If I had one wish, I would wish for everyone to see everybody for the beautiful people they are inside instead of yelling carelessly at kids who are trying their best.
  2. Dads are the greatest thing in the whole world!! Whenever I'm at the waterpark and see a dad by himself with a bunch of little kids trying his hardest to make their day special, my heart just melts. The best is I saw a dad carrying a car seat, a lawn chair, a diaper bag AND a little pink towel bag walking his three little girls back to their minivan at the end of the day. He looked around at his tired little girls and just smiled this great big smile. I wanted to cry, it was the most precious thing I've ever seen.
  3.  I love when little kids order at the food stands. You hear this little voice and they are too short, so all you can see is two little hands on the counter and a couple dollars pop over it. SO cute!!
  4.  Last but not least...Attitude is EVERYTHING! I feel like my job could either be great or terrible. But since there is no more room for hard things in my little heart, I have to choose happiness to get through the day. After a while it really does become the funnest job. Also I see this in our guests. There are the moms who you can tell are dreading the day at the waterpark because of all the hassle and struggles it takes to keep everyone happy and prepare...they are SO grouchy and just yell at their kids all day and it makes me sad. And then there are people like that dad I saw in #2. These are going to be your kids memories someday... cherish them.

Ok so other than the water park, I turned 19 on July 20th!! For my birthday I got off work early and suprised my family by taking them all out to Cold Stone and Harry Potter 7. haha I know that your supposed to get gifts on your birthday instead of give them, but I like giving more and that's what I wanted to do. My family made me this amazing salmon dinner and we had Ice cream cake. YUM!!  Man I have one year left until I'm out of the teen years. 20 seems so old haha. Although I'm kinda excited to be twenty just because twenty is how old I'll be when Logan gets home.

Speaking of Logan, He has been good. He's had a rough last companion, but he's still in the same area he started in. He's on his sixth month out now. I'm suprised that it's already six months, only because I thought this day would never come because time seems to move so slow (if that makes sense). He still writes me twice a week usually and sends them once a week. I still write him every single day and I love it. We also email once a week too. So I guess we are definitely still together and planning on keeping it that way forever.

Yup. Sorry I get so romantic and talk about Log so much. My mom always makes fun of my blog for that. So sorry if you get sick of it. That's becca for ya. So yup. There is my update. I'll try and blog about more interesting things as soon as  I have a moment free from work. Much love to all my readers!! - Becca

Oh haha... this is my cool scooter bike I won at the Employee party!! it's funny.
