Creating Creations...
So lately my Photoshop has been put to work with all my new classes and assignments, along with my boredom and desire to create stuff. :) So here's what I've been up to lately...
So I've kinda had this Pinterest Addiction lately... One of my most favoritest things to pin is quotes. Except I get tired of everybody posting the same quotes over and over and I also get sick of really great quotes with really terrible graphic design. So in my free time, I find quotes that I like and graphic design them and then pin them to my boards. It makes me feel super happy when they get repinned too :)
This Justin Bieber song is ALWAYS stuck in my head. I had to make a poster from it.
This one is actually some of the lyrics from a song that I wrote for Logan.
Taylor Swift Lyrics..
Here's some of my work from the last month :)
Enjoy this gigantic helping of Becca SOup!
First: This is a 5 piece Photography Series that I did. I wanted to really capture elements of the old world slowly fading away into our new world. (if you want to enlarge pictures just click on them.)
Second: Here is a Logo I created for my mom's Wedding Flower Business.
These Next two are Ads I made for Wite Out. They are both magazine ads. The second one is a blank page with a bottle of wite out as if the whole advertisement had been "Wited Out. "
This one is an Ad I made for a jeweler. The assignment was to find a terrible ad in a Magazine and made it better. I wish I had the original "bad ad" to show you the improvements.
These next three Advertisements are for an Eating Disorder Awareness Campaign. These are some of my most favorite work. I love how they turned out and I think they get the message across.

Day after Surgery
So my surgery went really well yesterday. My bones are all put in the right place and yup. To do the surgery they put all this numbing stuff in my feet (like an epidural or at the dentist) and I still can't feel my feet a day later. Man! they must have packed that stuff in! So I'm not in any pain. Just a little loopy from pain meds and super bored. Plus my feet feel like they've fallen asleep and I can't get them back.
Here's some pictures from the hospital. It was super funny cuz I was the only one having surgery that day in the hospital I went to. It's like I had the whole place all to myself. empty and kinda wierd.
Haha so I don't remember these pictures being taken at all. My mom said I was super super funny though like all I wanted was for her to take pictures and that I was so so so hyper. They couldn't get me to stop excitedly rambling on like a little kid. (i look kinda awful in these by the way.)
She also said that I wouldn't stop talking about how cool my shoes were because they were so pretty and pink and not gigantic like some that I've seen. Man I wish I could have seen myself.
Another funny thing is that when I finally came back to my senses, they had brought me all this apple juice. I vaguely remember being so happy about it and kept asking the nurse to bring more in. I don't even really like apple juice! idk. So I guess those are the stories of me coming out of anesthesia. All the nurses were certainly entertained.
Since then I've just been at home in bed, finding ways to entertain myself. I wish my house was more open because then I could play on my wheelchair. It just so happens that my house is the most terrible house for a wheelchair on the planet. I can't go anywhere.
Here's a picture I drew yesterday while I was bored on my disney.com thing. It is a request from a girl named Narnia-Lover who wanted me to create a princess just for her. I love the way it turned out, it looks way better than I thought it would. I hope it makes her happy :) I had another request to draw rapunzel's tower from tangled, so I guess that's what I'll be working on today! Exciting stuff.
Also a big thanks to Sarah Orgill, who brought me treats and a coloring book late last night!! It made my day! You're so sweet! I love it when visitors come! It makes me feel like I have friends lol.
Plus I got a letter from my Logan this morning, who stll has no idea about the surgery :( but that sure made me happy anyways. He's always there just when I need him..

Medical Adventures
So today was a little crazy and a bit scary as far as my health goes... Here's the story...
Short Version: ER at 3 in the morning because my cornea is being eaten away from lack of oxygen, then go to work like crazy, get phone call from doctor about having an appointmment to set up surgery, I'm thinking said surgery won't be until October, doctor tells me that he will be cutting apart and rearranging my bones in 3 days! AHHHH!!
Long version: Well my eye had been bugging me all Sunday, and by night fall, it was getting swollen and watery. I figured it was just my contact, so I took it out and went to bed. I couldn't sleep at all! every time I moved my eyes or anything I felt like there was a little person in my eye socket trying to pop my eye open. When I looked into light it was like pouring acid into the inside of my eye. After hours of trying to convice myself that it was nothing and still burning with pain, I decided that it really was something. I looked in the mirror and my eye was GIGANTIC! So I asked to be taken to the ER. The doctor looked in my eyeball and saw all these dots where my cornea had been disintegrated, almost like somebody had taken a sheet of sand paper to my eye. It could have been my contacts not letting through oxygen into my eyes. My doctor said it should only take around two days to heal. That was lucky, I was really scared I was going blind. Anyways two hours and some eye drops later, I was finally done, only to realize work was in an hour and I hadn't slept a wink all night.
I go to work in my hospital bracelet and all and recieve a phone call. It is my podiatrist telling me that they had an appointment that I could come into that day because of a cancellation. I was so thrilled because I have these terrible bunions (most ugliest name in the world btw) that are always hurting me. I couldn't wait to finally get in to see the doctor to set up surgery for sometime soon. So I get off work early and off to another doctor I go. I'm thinking, "I hope I can get this in the next few months before the ice comes, because I don't want to deal with crutches and wheelchairs in the snow."
I was hoping he had an appointment as early as September or October. I get X-rays and sure enough I definitely need surgery. He explains to me the procedure and all that it entails. I nod my head. He asks what my time frame is, I told him that as soon as I can get in...hopefully before there's snow on the ground. His reply... "Great, well I think we'll have the surgery this Friday, does that sound ok to you? That way, you'll have a whole week without school to recover a bit"
My expression must have been priceless. My eyes got so wide and my mouth hung open to the floor, then I just laughed because I honestly thought he was joking. When he looked at me seriously I didn't know what to say except "ok." So there you go... I'm going into surgery friday and I'm very very nervous. Here's what will be done...
First.. they will shave off the part of my bone that sticks out the most. The top part of my Big Toe Metatarsal bone will be completely sliced off. Then it will be placed back on the bone but moved over a few degrees so it no longer sticks out so much. THEN they will place a long screw through the new puzzle pieced bones to hold them together. There is also a bone spur that is on one of my feet that he will just chop off while he's at it. Then they sew me back up and do the exact same procedure on my other foot! Maybe it's just me, but this sounds a bit like an insanely morbid horror movie. My doctor put it in much nicer terms than I did, but still....
Anyways, after the surgery here is how my recovery will go... One full week in a wheelchair, then another couple weeks on crutches, then a week on walking boots (haha 2 walking boots?! I am going to look like a duck waddling around lol. It will be great.) then I should be able to go back to sneakers. After about a month, I should be back to walking like a normal human being. He promises this will make life much less painful in the long run. I am excited for that part. I may actually be able to wear high heels and not die. So yeah. There is my story in case you were wondering.
I'm taking volunteers to help me move back into my third floor apartment next week, since it seems I will be a gimp. Also if you don't want to move all my junk (I don't blame you) visitors are always welcome, especially if you like lounging around watching Friends, or Romantic Movies. :)
This will definitely be an adventure! I am going to find some ways to make this exciting and fun! Even if it is making my mom record me while I'm on narcotics and watching the tapes later lol or trying to learn tricks on a wheel chair. This will be great. I only wish Logan knew this was all going on so he could send me good loving vibes and prayers from Canada. I guess he'll be in a shock next Monday when I tell him. He knows absolutely nothing.
Well there you go. Now you know about my new cool medical procedures. Just another few to add to my collection :)

Here's some pics to show you an idea of what it will be like..

A few picture updates - Requested by Logan.
Alright so Logan asked a few questions and wanted me to post some pictures.
And in case that you aren't Logan, feel free to read and enjoy. The reason I post these on my blog is because my email does wierd things when I try to put pictures into my emails. I guess this can be an update to all my blog readers too!! As requested...here you are!
First of all... the answer is YES! I do still keep your calendar. Here it is! Look how far you've come! Your on day 171, which means only 559 days left! In only 8 days I can move from the red part of the Canadian flag colors to the white part! YAY! I made the lines for the colors to be at six months. So in a year I'll be back in the red for the last six months. Idk this thing make me happy. I make sure that each day when I mark off the day to make a little promise to myself that I will wait for you that day. Just taking it one day at a time.
Ok... so this is to show you two things. A) some of the weight that I've lost. idk, it's not a huge difference, but I'm getting there. and b) how long and blonde my hair is getting! it's only a few inches shorter than my extensions I sometimes wear. haha you like my skirt?? I've had it since the beginning of 8th grade lol.
So the next three pictures are of my box of letters that I keep. There is around 24 letters, you've never missed a week! Some are kinda hidden in the bottom so you can't see them. Haha I got a little carried away with these pictures because I just love the garden I have outside of my window and my lace curtains, it just looked so pretty I couldn't resist.
Oh... here's the ring you sent me!!!!! Like it? lol I love it your so cute and kinda funny too.
Here is me. Yeah... don't ask why my head is tilted like that. I have no clue. But you can see how skinny my legs have gotten. Those are my new jeans that I love!
Yeah. and here is the picture of you that I love and use for the wallpaper on my computer. It always making me happy.
So yup there ya go! as for the wedding plan pictures you asked for... well I'll send those in the mail. I don't feel like giving away all my secret amazing plans away to all my blog readers and the public quite yet lol.
Well there ya go!
Love ya log.

Summer Updates from the Becca Soup.
We're 2/3rds of the way done with summer, and I realized that I haven't blogged at all really except picture posts. So I decided to make an update to that. Here is life....
The reason I've been a little MIA this summer is cuz I've been working between 50-60 hours a week as a supervisor at the local waterpark. It is such a fun job. (haha well most the time) I work over kids from the ages of 14-17 usually. They are entertaining, but it is almost like babysitting sometimes haha. Anyways, I have a blast. The work comes with lots of perks too... We get free season passes, have like 2-3 employee parties a month where we draw for prizes. Last time I won a super cool scooter bike!! and another time I won this really nice genuine NFL football. Also we get 30% percent off everything that is sold in the park. Well working at a place like this has taught me a few things that I would like to share.
Ok so other than the water park, I turned 19 on July 20th!! For my birthday I got off work early and suprised my family by taking them all out to Cold Stone and Harry Potter 7. haha I know that your supposed to get gifts on your birthday instead of give them, but I like giving more and that's what I wanted to do. My family made me this amazing salmon dinner and we had Ice cream cake. YUM!! Man I have one year left until I'm out of the teen years. 20 seems so old haha. Although I'm kinda excited to be twenty just because twenty is how old I'll be when Logan gets home.
Speaking of Logan, He has been good. He's had a rough last companion, but he's still in the same area he started in. He's on his sixth month out now. I'm suprised that it's already six months, only because I thought this day would never come because time seems to move so slow (if that makes sense). He still writes me twice a week usually and sends them once a week. I still write him every single day and I love it. We also email once a week too. So I guess we are definitely still together and planning on keeping it that way forever.
Yup. Sorry I get so romantic and talk about Log so much. My mom always makes fun of my blog for that. So sorry if you get sick of it. That's becca for ya. So yup. There is my update. I'll try and blog about more interesting things as soon as I have a moment free from work. Much love to all my readers!! - Becca
Oh haha... this is my cool scooter bike I won at the Employee party!! it's funny.

- Often times I think people forget that employees are people too. The way that some guests treat these 14,15 year old kids makes me so sick. If I had one wish, I would wish for everyone to see everybody for the beautiful people they are inside instead of yelling carelessly at kids who are trying their best.
- Dads are the greatest thing in the whole world!! Whenever I'm at the waterpark and see a dad by himself with a bunch of little kids trying his hardest to make their day special, my heart just melts. The best is I saw a dad carrying a car seat, a lawn chair, a diaper bag AND a little pink towel bag walking his three little girls back to their minivan at the end of the day. He looked around at his tired little girls and just smiled this great big smile. I wanted to cry, it was the most precious thing I've ever seen.
- I love when little kids order at the food stands. You hear this little voice and they are too short, so all you can see is two little hands on the counter and a couple dollars pop over it. SO cute!!
- Last but not least...Attitude is EVERYTHING! I feel like my job could either be great or terrible. But since there is no more room for hard things in my little heart, I have to choose happiness to get through the day. After a while it really does become the funnest job. Also I see this in our guests. There are the moms who you can tell are dreading the day at the waterpark because of all the hassle and struggles it takes to keep everyone happy and prepare...they are SO grouchy and just yell at their kids all day and it makes me sad. And then there are people like that dad I saw in #2. These are going to be your kids memories someday... cherish them.
